B2C
What is B2C?
Business-to-Consumer (B2C) is the traditional retail model where businesses sell goods or services directly to individual customers for personal use. On Amazon, this is the default shopping experience for most users.
In the B2C model:
- Sellers list products on Amazon.com for everyday shoppers
- Transactions are typically small in volume and meant for personal consumption
- Fulfillment can be done via FBA (Fulfilled by Amazon) or FBM (Fulfilled by Merchant)
- Marketing focuses on customer needs, emotions, and product benefits
- Customer service, product reviews, and return policies play a major role in success
Examples of B2C products on Amazon include clothing, home goods, electronics, cosmetics, toys, and daily-use items.
Most third-party sellers (3PS) on Amazon operate in the B2C space.
In summary: B2C on Amazon means selling products to individual shoppers, focusing on retail pricing, high competition, and customer satisfaction.
