BD - Amazon Glossary

Best Deal (BD) is one of Amazon’s official deal types designed to boost product visibility and drive conversions over a longer promotional period than Lightning Deals or 7-Day Deals.

Unlike flash-style promotions, Best Deals:

• Run for multiple days or weeks (usually up to 2 weeks)
• Appear on the Amazon Deals page under the "Best Deals" tab
• Display a “Deal” badge on the product listing
• Are available to eligible FBA sellers or vendors
• Require a significant discount off the regular price, often 15% or more

Requirements & Characteristics:

• Must maintain sufficient inventory for the full duration
• Product should have a strong sales history and high ratings
• Often used for seasonal promotions, product launches, or to offload surplus inventory

Why it matters:
Best Deals offer extended exposure without the urgency of Lightning Deals but can still significantly increase traffic, conversions, and ranking if managed well.

💡 Example: You schedule a 10-day Best Deal for a kitchen appliance at 25% off. During this period, your listing shows a “Deal” badge, and the product is promoted on Amazon’s Deals page.

In short: A Best Deal is a multi-day Amazon promotion that highlights your discounted product with increased visibility and a “Deal” badge.
