IDQ
What is IDQ ?
Item Data Quality (IDQ) is Amazon’s internal measure of how well a product listing is optimized and filled out. Strong IDQ scores indicate that a product page contains all the critical elements needed to inform shoppers and convert sales.
IDQ typically evaluates the presence and quality of:
- Product title
- Bullet points and descriptions
- Main and additional images
- Search terms and backend keywords
- Product dimensions, brand, and category
Why IDQ matters:
- High-quality content improves conversion rates
- Well-optimized listings are more likely to appear in search results
- Poor IDQ may limit eligibility for advertising, A+ content, or Deals
- Amazon may flag listings with missing or low-quality data for correction
đź’ˇ Example: A product with no bullet points, blurry images, or missing dimensions would have low IDQ and might be suppressed from search.
In short:
IDQ is Amazon’s quality score for product listings - used to ensure content is complete, informative, and optimized for sales and search visibility.
